Otter Valley

The Otter Valley, where we live, is excellent walking country. I enjoy leading walks for the Otter Valley Association, our local amenity society. Non-members are welcome to join in their programme of walks.

Lake District

A modest ambition, begun in my sixtieth year, has been to complete the eighteen walks in "Fellwalking with Wainwright" by the late, great Alfred Wainwright before my legs give out. Originally published in 1984, a new edition of this book has recently come out. For a review, click here.

This walking project has now been completed with the help of various friends and relations who accompanied and encouraged me. Thank you! The photos below were taken on these walks. As you can see, it has been a wonderful experience . . . .

Corsica

A few years ago, I walked the Mare a Mare (sea to sea) route in Corsica.
